Abstract:
HANDS is a programming system for children that is designed to be
easier for beginners to learn and use than other existing
systems. Throughout the design and development of HANDS, usability has
been a primary focus, guiding the generation of ideas for the systemUs
features and the selection among various choices. This document
presents an overview of some of the prominent features of HANDS along
with the research that motivated their inclusion.
